About the role:

The Residence Services Coordinator will play a vital role in delivering a world class service to residents, short-term guests, summer business clients, and external partners. Your responsibilities include maintaining exceptional hospitality standards, upholding the pristine condition of the reception and communal areas, and collaborating seamlessly with other residential functions to ensure a seamless and continuous service delivery. We're seeking a candidate who can work independently, take initiative, and foster effective teamwork to enhance the overall resident experience. You will have particular responsibility for the “Accelerated Compute Infrastructure Training Hub (ACIT-Hub)”, the project is a collaboration between the 51国产视频 of Surrey, 51国产视频 of Oxford, 51国产视频 of Sheffield, Imperial College London and 51国产视频 of Bristol. It is funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).?

Our aim is to create a go to hub for training and career development, supporting those working at the frontiers of accelerated compute infrastructure in the UK.?

You will join an established, highly rated research centre, with an excellent computing and software infrastructure for first class research, modern facilities and close links with industry. The Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) is an International Centre of Excellence for research in Audio-Visual Machine Perception. The Centre has state-of-the-art acoustic capture and analysis facilities and a Visual Media Lab with video and audio capture facilities supporting research in real-time video and audio processing and visualisation. The Surrey Institute for People Centred AI (PAI) builds on 38 years of work into foundational AI in CVSSP, which is ranked 1st in the UK for Computer Vision and in the top-5 for both Audio-Visual AI and Robotics (CS Rankings, Sept 2024). The ACIT-Hub works closely with the Research Computing Services team based in IT services. This group of highly motivated individuals support research computing infrastructure across the entire university and run an agile management process for their technical work.?

You will have prior experience as a project manager and demonstrate relevant skills in planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of projects to ensure the operational aspects are clearly defined and achieved within the timelines, cost and quality guidelines.?

FHS established the Department of Public Health and Medicinal Administration (DPM) that aims at fortifying the teaching and research in the area of public health, with particular focuses on traditional public health, hospital management, medicinal administration, infectious diseases, and data science. DPM now offers two academic programmes: Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics and Master of Science in Global Public Health, in addition to the new academic programme, Doctor of Public Health offered by FHS since the 2024/2025 academic year.

DPM of FHS now invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Public Health. The candidate is expected to have strong exposure in at least one of the following three areas: traditional public health, hospital management and/or medicinal administration.

Qualifications

A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies. Candidate for Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high potential of excellence in research and teaching and is preferable to have at least three years of postdoctoral training. The appointment at the rank of Full Professor and Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the candidate, such as the established international excellence in research and scholarship as a proven record of publications in high calibre international journals.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in 2025/2026.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor; MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
