Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree preferably in stem cell biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those with experience in two of the following research fields – mouse preimplantation, embryonic stem cells, trophoblasts, and animal genetic-related research works. Applicants should have strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task with attention to detail, be organized and be able to work independently with a group of multidisciplinary team members. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Pengtao Liu on research projects relating to totipotency of stem cell and blastoid, targeting for translational applications.

Applications are invited for the part-time post of Senior Teaching Fellow BM5 BM5 Primary Care (PC) Clinical Practice (CP) 1 and 2 deputy Module Lead, to join the Medical Education Unit in the Faculty of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and delivery of PC teaching and learning experience for students on the BM5 programme on the new revalidated curriculum which is launching September 2025.

As the post holder, you will also contribute to help the development and delivery of the PC subject teaching across the Batchelor of Medicine programmes and will help students meet the General Medical Council’s learning outcomes relating to PC as in “Outcomes for Graduates 2018”. You will work with a range of staff with different backgrounds and promote the shared vision for PC. You will be responsible for recruitment, placement, teaching and training GP teachers to support the delivery of PC in the BM5 cohort of CP 1 module and use the second session to deputise both CP1 and 2. You will enable students to develop skills and competencies needed for building a solid foundation in the early years, as students’ progress to consulting patients safely and enhance the student learning experience.?

We are seeking a senior academic leader for a Professorial position in Clinical Pharmacy. This pivotal role offers the chance to contribute senior leadership to education and research in clinical pharmacy.

The successful candidate demonstrates a well-rounded record of excellence across teaching, research and high-level government/industry engagement, with the ability to secure competitive grant funding.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences sits within the newly formed UQ Dutton Park campus, which is part of the newly constituted Boggo Road Innovation Precinct with links to industry, a major primary health facility and resources to support clinical trial initiatives. The school has a broad range of program offerings, a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) program, postgraduate programs in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice, a suite of offerings in pharmaceutical industry practice, and research higher degree studies.?

	Outstanding reputation and international profile in Clinical Pharmacy, Quality use of Medicines and/or Pharmacy Practice based research, demonstrated through high-impact publications, citations, and grant success.
	Maintained success in attracting significant competitive research funding as lead investigator.
	Exceptional record as a Principal Supervisor, guiding HDR students to successful and timely completion.
	Evidenced leadership capabilities within an academic or professional setting.
	Outstanding record of meaningful internal leadership roles in conjunction with a high level of leadership in external activities fostering links within the profession and relevant specialty, including substantial roles on advisory committees at a national and international level.
	Strong record of impactful engagement with government, industry, health services, and/or professional bodies.

The Role and Department 

Research and Innovation Services (RIS) offers guidance, expert advice, and hands-on support for all aspects of research and research-related activities. This includes securing funding, collaborating with partners, undertaking knowledge exchange, demonstrating impact, commercialising outputs, ensuring good research practice, and supporting professional development. This post will sit in the Commercialisation and Economic Development team, under the management of the Senior Policy Engagement Manager.

The role will undertake evaluation of a major place-based creative collaboration, Into the Light. This three-year programme, which began on 1 April 2024, is funded by the Arts Council England, the Shared Prosperity Fund, Durham County Council and others. I has been designed to cultivate talent, widen access to creative education, enhance the skills of the cultural workforce, and break down barriers to working in the creative industries .Into the Light is delivered by Durham County Council in partnership with Beamish Museum, The Bowes Museum, Durham 51国产视频, Ensemble '84, The Forge, No More Nowt, Northern Heartlands, Redhills CIO and TIN Arts. The programme consists of eight projects over three interconnecting themes: Grow (Inspiring Children and Young People), Cultivate (Building the Cultural Workforce) and Engage (Connecting Communities through Culture).

Durham 51国产视频 is leading on the evaluation of the programme, with the aim of undertaking a programme-wide study to analyse the impact of investment in cultural and creative programmes, activities and events in the County through the principles of Inclusive Economy, an economic development model adopted by Durham, Newcastle and going forward by the North East Combined Authority (NECA).

The Lead Evaluator will be formally line managed by the Senior Policy Engagement Manager in RIS with academic oversight and support provided by Professor Janet Stewart, Executive Dean in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The post-holder will report to the Into the Light Evaluation Advisory Board, chaired by Professor Janet Stewart, Executive Dean in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

The Lead Evaluator will have access to the expertise of the Durham Research Methods Centre and will be assisted by two postdoctoral research associates, based in academic departments, who are due to be appointed in June 2025. As well as delivering this important project, the role will offer useful learning to wider work being undertaken to explore a future institutional evaluation offer. These include exploring potential frameworks with partners, which, in addition to providing capacity for programme and process evaluation, enhance the opportunity for a range of collaborative research opportunities.
