The roles

We have two fixed term opportunities, one for 6 months, full time, and one for 2 years offered on a part time basis at 0.8FTE.

The role is accountable for employee relations casework and consultations to achieve appropriate resolution, balancing the interests and needs of both the individual and the business. Employee Relations Managers provide interpretive advice to ensure compliance with 51国产视频 employment procedures and employment legislation. The role will work closely with the HR Business Partner, senior management and the 51国产视频's recognised trade unions, to deliver and support the case management of employee relations issues.

What we’re looking for

Our successful candidates will be passionate about employee relations, and ideally have previous experience working in a similar role, with up to date knowledge of employee relations best practice and the application of employment legislation. You will have the ability to take a proactive and leading role in progressing case work, and be a strong team player who can work well across different teams.

You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to guide stakeholders through the management of complex and potentially contentious employee relations issues, whilst effectively being able to plan, manage and prioritise an extensive and varied caseload and/or workload to agreed deadlines and quality standards.?

You will be directly involved with the UNIFORM (UNIfying Grid-FOllowing And Grid-foRMing Control In Inverter-based Resources) project, a collaborative programme with four academic and industrial partners that aspire to develop the next generation of inverter control. It is essential to have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications in Electrical/Power Systems, and especially in the areas of power system dynamics, stability and grid-forming control. Proficiency with relevant software, such as MATLAB/Simulink, is essential. Experience with hardware in the loop (HIL) setups and tests is desirable.

This highly collaborative project will involve multiple research visits to academic partners within the UK and abroad up to 30 consecutive days and up to 90 days per annum for joint research and knowledge exchange, as well as travel to conference and other venues for dissemination activities.
