Requirements

The appointee will teach undergraduate philosophy courses, supervise undergraduate final projects, and contribute to the service and development of the Department.

Teaching: The appointee will have a standard teaching load of ten courses per year (30 hours per year), distributed according to the needs of the Department and upon mutual agreement. English will be the language of instruction. If necessary, the appointee might be required to supervise students’ capstone projects.

Service: The appointee will perform administrative duties as assigned by the Head of the Department, if any.

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking an experienced researcher to join the CUE Robotics Team at the 51国产视频 of Strathclyde in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working alongside experts in robotics and automation. The role offers exceptional access to world-class laboratory facilities and cutting-edge technologies, placing you at the forefront of innovative research and development.

This position will play a key role in a small team developing novel automated inspection systems for the UK’s next-generation submarine fleet, with a particular focus on the inspection of structural components, tanks, and pipework. We are looking for a candidate with substantial research experience. Their contribution to the project will focus on visual inspection and laser scanning.

To be considered for this role, you will hold a PhD or equivalent qualification, and possess significant research experience. You should have a proven track record of delivering research projects. The role involves regular travel to partner sites for meetings and demonstrations, so applicants must be willing and able to travel. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

About the Role

The Executive Coordinator provides critical executive and administrative support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) STEM and the Office of the DVC STEM, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities across the STEM College. About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as Programme Officer in a dynamic team within the IoPPN’s Education Support Team. Your personal sphere of influence The research group?“Atmospheric Transport Processes”, led by Prof. Andreas Stohl, is part of the?Department of Meteorology and Geophysics. The group develops the Lagrangian transport model FLEXPART and studies all aspects of transport in the atmosphere, ranging from greenhouse gases to pollutants, water vapour and heat, and uses inverse modelling techniques to determine sources of greenhouse gases, air pollutants and radionuclides.

We seek a highly motivated candidate to pursue his/her doctoral thesis within the research fields covered by our research group. These could be, for instance, theoretical and numerical improvements of FLEXPART, development of new application fields for the model, or applications of the model in existing application fields such as transport of heat and/or water in the atmosphere during extreme meteorological events; climatological analyses of air/heat/water transport using an existing Lagrangian re-analysis; development of a new Lagrangian re-analysis based on the forthcoming ERA6 reanalysis; inverse modelling of greenhouse gases, radionuclides or air pollutants in the atmosphere. We will select the best qualified candidate and will define the exact topic of the doctoral thesis together with him/her.

The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to?4 years?if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration.
