Federal 51国产视频, Dutsin-Ma serves Katsina state in the north-west of Nigeria.
The university has two campuses - one on the north side of Dutsin-Ma and a second, main site 15 miles away.
Students are divided between faculties of agriculture and agricultural technology, arts, education, engineering and technology, life sciences, management science, physical science and social science. 
A women’s hostel opened in November 2021 and plans for an on-campus mobile police barracks. Plans were announced in April 2022 for a network of five study centres – in Malumfashe, Charanchi, Funtua, Davra and Katsina.

Project Context

We seek a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop decision-support tools for decarbonizing mobile mining equipment. You will join an international multidisciplinary team. You will apply simulation, multi-objective optimization, and data-driven analytics to evaluate and compare material intralogistics handling alternatives—such as in-pit crushing & conveying, trolley-assist systems, and battery-electric trucks—in strip mining operations. This research is part of OCP’s Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Mining initiative to achieve net-zero Scope?1 emissions, aligning with the company’s roadmap for sustainable mining operations.

Key Responsibilities


	Literature Review & Case Definition

	
		Systematically survey decarbonization technologies in material intralogistics handling and decision-making approaches in mining.
		Select and characterize a strip mining case study; lead data collection and scenario design.
	
	
	Techno-Economic & Environmental Analysis
	
		Compare material intralogistics handling alternatives (IPCC, trolley assist, battery trucks, etc.) via life-cycle cost and emissions modeling.
	
	
	Simulation & Optimization Framework
	
		Build and validate a dynamic simulation model of mine haulage operations.
		Integrate multi-objective optimization to explore trade-offs across cost, emissions, and productivity.
	
	
	Decision-Support & MCDA
	
		Implement a machine-learning-driven multi-criteria decision analysis to rank and select optimal decarbonization pathways.
		Collaborate with industry and academic experts to ground-truth results.
	
	
	Dissemination
	
		Publish in top journals and present findings at international conferences.
		Contribute to workshops and stakeholder briefings on sustainable mobility in mining.
	
	


Qualifications


	PhD (awarded or imminent) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
	Strong track record of publications in simulation, optimization, or industrial engineering.
	Proficiency in Python and simulation tools (e.g. AnyLogic, Arena) and optimization solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX).
	Solid background in decarbonization modeling, logistics, and techno-economic assessment.
	Experience with multi-criteria decision making and mining operations is a plus.
	Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Our expectations

The post-doctoral researcher will play a pivotal role in revising the new proposal for the upcoming application rounds and initiating data collection efforts. They will work closely with the project team to design suitable research methods and manage other initial stages of data collection.

We seek scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in a relevant field (e.g. management studies, international business, social sciences, architecture, design). The ideal candidate will possess strong qualitative research skills, a broad understanding of sustainability issues, and a keen interest in architecture and design. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research and publish in high-quality scholarly journals. Fluent English is required, while fluency in Finnish is a merit.

The post-doctoral researcher is required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The starting date of the employment relationship can be negotiated, ideally commencing October 1st 2025 or shortly after.

About the positions

The School of Allied Health, Human Services & Sport (SAHHSS) is a leading provider of training for a range of allied health professional disciplines in Victoria.? The primary function of the School’s clinics is to provide a supportive environment for students to progressively develop clinical competencies. Reporting to the Clinical Education Lead, Podiatry, the Clinical Educator, Podiatry performs the important function of supporting and supervising our students to develop their clinical skills while delivering a supervised clinical service to patients/clients.

Clinical Educators are expected to be experienced clinicians who can supervise the provision of clinical services while overseeing a range of students interacting with patients/clients.

A Level B Clinical Educator is expected to engage in supervision of students participating in clinical placement subjects, normally in the context of our student-led clinics operated on campus. They are also expected to engage in training and professional development activities to maintain their clinical practice registration in their discipline, and to participate in the assessment of students in their attainment of relevant clinical skills.

Skills and Experience
