The Vietnamese-German 51国产视频 (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Computer Science and Machine Learning. Candidates must hold a PhD in this field or a closely related field with a strong research background. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes.

Teaching Responsibilities

In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach graduate courses in MCS and undergraduate courses in the CSE bachelor program. The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on the following modules:


	Introduction to Computer Science?
	Introduction to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence?
	Current Topics in Computer Science?
	Statistics?
	Fundamental courses in related areas


The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may requires conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects.

The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses and mentoring PhD students.

Research Responsibilities

We expect the successful candidate, as a research-oriented university faculty member, to significantly contribute to VGU's scientific profile through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in the fields of pattern recognition, machine learning (including generative models and neural network architectures), and natural language processing (including large language models). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Computer Science Program by participating in administrative, marketing and other public activities of the program in consultation with the Academic Coordinator of the study program and the German partner university, namely Frankfurt 51国产视频 of Applied Sciences. She or he is also expected to contribute actively to the academic self administration of the Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to the Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or other bodies.

Qualification

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as will experience and understanding of the German higher education system and methodology. Other requirements include:


	An outstanding academic record with a focus on machine learning, computer?vision, natural language processing, pattern recognition or other areas closely?related to it?
	Proven expertise in techniques for natural language processing and pattern?recognition?
	Strong track record of successful research activities and publications in?international and peer-reviewed journals in the related area?

We're looking for an Industry Research Fellow or Research Assistant to join a collaborative team working on high-impact research in defence materials and structures. This role is part of a partnership between RMIT and the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG), through the Centre for Advanced Defence Structures and Materials Experimentation (CADSME).

About the Role

You'll be part of a research team focused on large-scale structural testing of aircraft components. You'll support the chief investigator in delivering high-quality reports, preparing publications, and helping to share the findings through conferences and journals. As your experience grows, you'll take on more responsibility and contribute more independently to the research program. We welcome applicants at either Level A (Research Assistant) or Level B (Research Fellow).

To be successful for the Level A Industry Research Assistant appointment, you will have (but not limited to):


	Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field.

You’ll be able to work autonomously where needed, applying judgement and initiative when managing your workload to meet the long-term objectives of the project.

You’ll have a relevant degree or significant vocational experience, and the ideal candidate will also have a project management qualification.
