The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) was established to deepen interdisciplinary studies and scholarly collaboration. The SIS houses a number of interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes. The appointee will join the teaching team of the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Public Management and Smart Governance (PMSG) and is expected to contribute to high quality teaching.

The appointee will be expected to teach courses in Public Management, Data Analytics, Housing Policy, and Public Finance, as well as engage in student advising and mentoring. The appointee will also assume the role of Programme Director for PMSG. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in programme management and development.

Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a doctoral degree in relevant disciplines; (ii) a minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching relevant courses and relevant programme administrative experience; and (iii) good command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

The Precision Health Informatics Data Lab, led by Professor Richard Dobson, is motivated towards enabling a “panoramic” view of patients that is precise, predictive, preventative and participatory, through the integration of traditional ‘omics data with data derived from mHealth, electronic patient records, knowledge graphs. The group works closely alongside the National Institute for Health Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Maudsley BRC) supporting their translational research into novel tests, treatments and technologies to understand and treat mental disorders.

Our RADAR-Base platform is pioneering the future for mHealth technology in remote monitoring and management of health data. The RADAR-base platform is used in numerous research fields, spanning over 20 disorder areas in 54 studies. As a Project Manager, you will be crucial in this journey, working alongside our Product Manager and software development teams to ensure our projects are successfully delivered.

??Faculty Education Services provides coordinated services for students, staff & partner providers, enabling the delivery of education through managing quality, programme, placement and assessment administration. We provide dedicated student support that prioritises the student experience to facilitate student success.

??The role forms part of the Programme Placement & Assessment Team within Faculty Education Services,?providing professional, high-quality service provision in the support of Bioscience education. The Assessment team supports students and academic staff in the delivery and management of the assessment cycle across a large suite of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Programme Officer in a busy, vibrant and supportive team within FoLSM. The post holder will provide administrative support and guidance across assessment activity for a large portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes of study.

The Programme Officer is part of a team that delivers a high quality comprehensive and professional service that meets agreed standards and expectations; providing excellent service and support for our students. ?

The role reports to the Programme Manager, with supervision from Senior Programme Officers to deliver?an accurate, compliant and timely service across a range of tasks, including supporting student and staff enquiries, delivery of exams, mark collation and marksheet production, setting up systems for coursework submission, delivery of poster days, supporting processes for mitigating circumstances, appeals and misconduct cases. ?
