About You

The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of the School and within the 51国产视频. 	Demonstrated ability to lead scholarly development and manage and supervise academic teams and members.

	IDEA Issues - Our research advances Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) agenda across a range of organisational and societal context on topics such as migrant experience, human rights in business, cross-cultural management, and intersectionality of social identities. Our work also addresses issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and other structurally marginalised or underrepresented communities.
	Social Impact - We generate positive social impacts through research that informs responsible policy and practice in areas related to work, employment, and societal wellbeing. Our research addresses issues such as workplace health and safety, sustainable business practices, corporate social responsibility (CSR), public health and care management, labour markets, and trade unions. We also explore emerging themes such as regenerative futures and just transitions in the context of energy and environmental change, with a focus on enhancing social equity and long-term sustainability.
	Technology for Humanity - Focusing on the human side of technology, we explore how tech-enabled innovations can be effectively managed to improve work, learning, wellbeing at the individual, team, and organisational levels. Our research spans areas such as the human-AI interface, gamification in organisational settings, digital transformation in higher education, and technology adoption in organisations.

The Programmes and Projects Office, a new department at the 51国产视频 of Surrey, is looking to recruit 2 Project Partners. It’s an exciting time to be joining us here, as the Programmes and Projects Department is becoming established and taking on new pieces of work aligned to our 2041 strategy.

Project Partners facilitate smooth and efficient project planning, management and delivery, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. They help to ensure that programmes and projects align with the 51国产视频’s objectives and are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They have overall project management responsibility for specific projects, working closely with both internal stakeholders and project owners, and other internal delivery teams.

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual with project management experience. Experience of working in HE is also an advantage. You’ll have experience of building relationships and contacts with a wide variety of colleagues and will demonstrate personal credibility when dealing with senior stakeholders. You’ll be able to work autonomously where needed, applying judgement and initiative when managing your workload to meet the long-term objectives of the project.

You’ll have a relevant degree or significant vocational experience, and the ideal candidate will also have a project management qualification.

The Public Health Research Center (PHRC) at New York 51国产视频 Abu Dhabi is seeking a Research Assistant Bioinformatician with experience in population genetics and machine learning to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bioinformatics, whole-genome sequencing data analysis and predictive modelling. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment alongside epidemiologists, geneticists and computational biologists. The PHRC is focused on understanding the factors influencing health outcomes and traits related to the most common non-communicable diseases in the UAE. This is achieved by investigating and integrating diverse data sources, including epidemiological, clinical, genetic, and multi-omic data. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of established Core Bioinformatics and Sequencing Platforms and High-Performance Computing facilities.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computational Biology. Excellent experimental and in silico skills relevant to the project (in particular genomics and bioinformatics), and strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Bash, Java, C++), are also required.
