The computer science subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings 2024, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline.

This year¡¯s table includes 1,027 universities, up from 974 last year.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Oxford leads the computer science ranking for the sixth consecutive year. Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) switch places to take the second and third places respectively.

The UK¡¯s Imperial College London and Princeton 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ in the US move into the top 10 at eighth and ninth position respectively. The National 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Singapore and Germany¡¯s Technical 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Munich fall out of this elite group.

China, Germany and Australia have seven universities each in the top 100. The highest-ranking among these is Tsinghua 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ in China,?in 12th place.
