The law subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings 2023, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline.

This year¡¯s table includes 290 universities, up from 257 last year.

Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ leads the ranking for the fifth consecutive year. New York 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ is now in second place, having swapped with the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Cambridge, which now occupies third place. Harvard 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ has risen one position to sixth place.

There is only one more new entry to the top 10 ¨C the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Chicago, in 10th place, up three spots from 13th.

Australia leads the list of newcomers to the top 20, with the Australian National 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ rising 10 spots to 18th, and UNSW Sydney four spots to 20th.
