The business and economics subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings 2021, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.

The ranking assesses universities by their performance in the following disciplines: business and management, accounting and finance, and economics and econometrics.

This year¡¯s table includes 729 universities, up from 632 last year.

Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ tops the table for the first time since 2018, while Harvard 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ climbs five places to fifth, its highest position since 2017. Meanwhile, Yale 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ climbs three places to join the top 10 in eighth and the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Pennsylvania drops out of this group.

Switzerland¡¯s ETH Zurich is the top university outside the US and UK, holding on to 12th?position, while the National 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Singapore leads 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ¡¯s representatives at 14th.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of California, Davis is the top new entry, ranking at joint 45th.
