The 2020 Times Higher Education World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings table for psychology subjects uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the overall World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings, but the metric weightings have been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.

The 13 performance indicators assess several areas of psychology, including educational, sport, business, animal and clinical psychology.

The ranking includes 494 universities, up from 463 last year.

Once again, Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ leads the ranking, while Princeton 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ climbs one place to take the second spot and the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Pennsylvania rises two places to third.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Michigan-Ann Arbor and Canada¡¯s 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of British Columbia both join the top 10 this year in eighth and 10th?place respectively, while the London School of Economics and Political Science and Duke 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ fall out of this elite group.

New York 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ is the biggest riser in the top 20, climbing 11 places to 11th. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Amsterdam is another strong performer, ranking 14th, up from joint 20th?last year.

The National 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Singapore ranks as the highest 51¹ú²úÊÓƵn institution, climbing seven places to 45th, while a further eight institutions in the continent feature in the top 100.
