The 2020 Times Higher Education World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings table for education subjects uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as our overall World 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Rankings, but the weightings have been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.

The ranking assesses universities by their performance in education, teacher training and academic studies in education subjects.

This year¡¯s table includes 477 universities, up from 428 last year.

Once again, Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ and Harvard 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ place in the top two. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Hong Kong rises one place to third, while the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Oxford climbs one place to fourth. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of California, Berkeley drops two positions to fifth.

China¡¯s Peking 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ makes strong progress, rising 13 places to 13th, while New York 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ rises nine places to 21st.
