AT&T, the US telecoms group that recently formed a global partnership with BT, is the new funder of the Olivetti & Oracle Research Laboratory in Cambridge, to be known as AT&T Laboratories Cambridge with a budget of Pounds 30 million over the next six years. Cambridge 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ professor Andy Hopper, who founded the lab 13 years ago, remains in charge. The focus is networking, multimedia and mobile communications.
