A novel deal between a British university and the Romanian Cultural Institute has paved the way for a unique collection of literature to be translated into English. The agreement will see the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Plymouth publish 20 of the greatest works of Romanian literature over the next five years - providing students and academics with insights into the literary heritage of the Eastern European country. Only a handful of Romanian books have ever been translated into English before. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Plymouth Press will publish four texts a year, complete with selected artwork from some of Romania's foremost painters.
