Mathematics graduates will be given an extra ?2,000 if they train to become teachers as part of a raft of measures unveiled this week in the Government's response to Adrian Smith's report on falling standards in maths education. The cash will be paid on top of the ?11,000 teachers in shortage subjects already receive in bursaries and "golden hello" payments.
