The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Oxford tops the table for sociology, rising from fifth in 2014. Its GPA increased from 3.19 to 3.55. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Cambridge also improved its position considerably, rising from 12th?to second with?a GPA of 3.54, up from 2.98 in 2014.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of York ¨C first in 2014 ¨C was fourth this time despite improving its GPA from 3.27 to 3.47. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Manchester dropped one place from second to third and the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Edinburgh dropped from sixth to 14th?with a GPA of 3.24, up from 3.16.

At a national level the Sociology UoA has a GPA of 3.15, with 40 per cent of its submission rated 4*. 1103.54 FTE staff were submitted to this UoA.
