Job prospects for graduates continue to look bright, with the number of vacancies up by more than 11 per cent this year and starting salaries as high as ?35,000 on offer.
A biannual survey of 224 major graduate employers, commissioned by the Association of Graduate Recruiters, has found that during 2004-05 graduates faced less competition for jobs, with the average number of applications per place dropping from 37.6 to 32.9.
