Full-time students in further education colleges and sixth-form colleges increased by 6 per cent between November 1994 and November 1995 according to the first returns from the new student data collection known as the Individualised Student Record.
The Further Education Funding Council estimates that part-time student numbers were up 7 per cent, making a total of 2.4 million students enrolled in November 1995.
