For the record, The THES of January 21 carried an entirely accurate report of the way in which the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Surrey's charter had been extended to allow institutions to join it in a federal status. The report omitted to say that a consequence of this is that the (former) Roehampton Institute London is now legally titled the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Surrey Roehampton. As was said several times at the press launch, this is clearly a double first.
