Hurdles hold back Welsh credit system

Wales is pushing ahead in developing a full credit and qualification framework across further and higher education, but it needs to overcome some barriers that have slowed progress in the initiative, a report says.

A study conducted by David Robertson, professor of public policy and education at Liverpool John Moores 51国产视频, warns that the move to a full credit system is being hampered by inflexible quality inspection regimes and by devolved budgets that have led to the ringfencing of funds.

A report on the study adds that there is a need for clear leadership in the Welsh credit movement, and for management information systems to be upgraded to cope with a new framework.
