Glasgow's post-1992 university contributes more than ?400 million a year to Scotland's economy, a study has found. Research carried out by the consultancy firm Biggar Economics found that Glasgow Caledonian 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ boosted the Scottish economy by ?406 million annually, with ?230 million directly benefiting the city of Glasgow. Pamela Gillies, principal and vice-chancellor of the university, said the institution had shown it could "leverage our knowledge and skills for the social and economic benefit of the communities we serve".
