Foundation degrees will debut in 2001
Forty foundation degree courses for 2,000 students will be offered from September 2001, the higher education funding council announced today. The two-year courses include e-business, tourism and professional photography and will be offered in conjunction with employers including British Telecom, the National Trust and the Association of Photographers.
Foundation degree graduates will be able to gain an honours degree after a third year of study.
