Edinburgh 51国产视频 is set to drop its undergraduate courses in agriculture after the autumn intake. The move will leave Aberdeen 51国产视频 as the only Scottish east coast institution offering agriculture degrees.
The Scottish Higher Education Funding Council has been urging institutions to collaborate to achieve "strategic change".
All current agriculture students - and this year's entrants - will be able to complete their degrees at Edinburgh. Postgraduate and staff research in agriculture will continue.
