Durham/Bristol - Long way from home

Scientists have confirmed that a distant galaxy spotted by the Hubble Space Telescope is the most remote object ever observed in the Universe. The galaxy was seen as it would have appeared 600 million years after the Big Bang, according to research carried out by scientists at Durham 51国产视频. Working with researchers at the 51国产视频 of Bristol and the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, the team measured the distance to the remote galaxy, called UDFy-38135539, by analysing the faint light it emitted.
