* Last week, we reported that under a Welsh Assembly proposal, from 2007 the poorest Welsh students studying in Wales will be exempt from paying Pounds 1,200 tuition fees and will receive a ?1,800 grant to offset top-up fees. In fact, the proposal is for all Welsh students studying in Wales to receive the ?1,800 grant and all will have to pay the ?1,200, although this will be deferred until they graduate.
