Lucky students at Salford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ have been given the chance of a new degree with the odds of a job at the end of it stacked in their favour, according to course tutors.

The BSc in economics and gambling is designed to "encourage serious scholarly research and teaching regarding all aspects of gambling and commercial gaming".

But it seems the practical aspects of the course will best boost graduate employment prospects.

"The applied focus of the degree course economics and gambling together with the quantitative skills developed will provide a good base for a career in management, finance and marketing."

One hopes they won't be applying their gambling skills to university budgets.
