Chemists at Edinburgh 51国产视频 have launched a Pounds 145,000 project to develop more effective platinum-based anti-cancer drugs. Two versions of these drugs are used on testicular cancer and ovarian carcinoma. The work at Edinburgh could help in the design of new platinum compounds which are active against a wider range of cancers and have less toxic side-effects. It is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (*see research papers).
