51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Reading. Julia Slingo, research fellow and deputy director of the United Kingdom Universities Global Atmospheric Modelling Programme, has been promoted to principal research fellow. She is also co-ordinator of a European Commission-funded research programme on the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵn Summer Monsoon.
