HARKNESS FELLOWSHIP

Fellowships for 1996/97 have been awarded to: Darren Shickle, lecturer in the centre for applied public health medicine at 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Wales College of Medicine, for research into United States ethics committees and consultation services and an examination of government and other organisations' policies on genetics and resource allocation; James Thompson, director of theatre in prisons and probation centre and visiting lecturer at the drama department, 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Manchester, to examine how theatre and drama can develop the capacities of young people at risk and develop positive approaches to tackle drugs and gang violence.
