The Further Education Funding Council is consulting colleges on the emerging conclusions of its widening participation committee, chaired by Helena Kennedy QC. The committee, which will report finally in early July, is recommending the setting up of strategic local partnerships between colleges, training and enterprise councils and others with a stake in FE. Colleges are being asked for their responses by the 25th of this month.
