During our long dispute, Sally Hunt came to speak at a lecturers' union Natfhe meeting at London Metropolitan 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ and promised us total support. I tried to take up that offer: no one at the Association of 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Teachers would take our calls. AUT members at London Met claimed they had received no indication that the AUT supported our action. Natfhe remained supportive throughout. I leave it to you to decide whose rhetoric was not matched by action.
