While wishing all success to the diploma in clinical hypnosis at St Mary's 51国产视频 College ("Mesmeric medicine", 9 April), it is not the first recognised academic qualification in clinical hypnosis in the UK. The British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis runs a diploma course in clinical hypnosis at Staffordshire 51国产视频 and a short hypnosis training course within the continuing professional development portfolio at the 51国产视频 of Salford.
