51¹ú²úÊÓƵ

Established in 1980 as Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, KL 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ initially began as one of the first private engineering colleges in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The university was named after Koneru Lakshmaiah, a renowned industrialist, educationalist and philanthropist. The university attained autonomous status in 2006 and in 2009 was named KL Deemed to be 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ. Although popularly known as KL 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, officially the name of the university still appears as KL Deemed to be 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ.

Spread over a large campus of 100 acres, KL 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ offers a wide range of programmes ranging from fine arts to pharmacy. The university is especially renowned for its industry focused curriculum and its green campus.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Grant Commission of India regularly ranks KL 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ in Category 1 of the top industry-focused universities. The university has eight schools and has formed partnerships with international universities across the world including Stanford 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, California State 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ, and PSB 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ.

The university, which hosts two girl¡¯s hostels and seven boy¡¯s hostels, provides a conductive environment for students to grow personally as well as professionally.

Apart from several professional societies, KL 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ also has a student body called KL Student Ordinate which includes 17 clubs providing various platforms for students to showcase their talents.

The university hosts a technical festival every fall semester and a cultural festival every spring semester. A hygienic canteen with customised menus are available on campus and a 24-hour ambulance service are some of the other facilities the university offers for students.
