Cambridge 51国产视频 is back in the High Court next week, as campaigning history lecturer Gill Evans seeks a judicial review of the university's procedures for promoting academic staff.
Dr Evans claims her high-profile criticisms of the university's governance arrangements, and her disputes with key Cambridge officers, have meant that her personal applications for promotion have been unfairly blocked.
The THES reported in May that Dr Evans had been recommended for a chair by her faculty peers, who said the merits of her case were outstanding and that she occupied a "unique international stature in modern scholarship". But the recommendation was overturned by the central General Board promotions committee.
Dr Evans says the board has failed to give proper reasons for rejecting her promotion, did not give proper consideration to her case, and denied her documents that she is entitled to under the Data Protection Act, which prevented her from formulating an appeal.
