TUITION fees should be waived for all students who enter careers such as teaching and medicine, the Association of 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Teachers said this week. Graduates who join such professions will find themselves in a "poverty trap", with years of additional training, and low salaries, the AUT said. General secretary David Triesman said: "Students with good A levels and a desire to serve the community should have their fees paid by the community."
