The Said Business School has pulled out of a project to build a teaching facility in India. The school, part of the 51国产视频 of Oxford, said it was abandoning plans to set up an educational centre in the Lavasa compound near Pune as it was not financially viable. There have been reports that local people had been forced out of the Lavasa site, where an entire new city is being planned. An Oxford spokesman said: "Following a detailed feasibility study, the Said Business School has concluded that it would not be financially viable to undertake executive education at Lavasa as originally envisaged. This is not a response to unproven allegations about the project, which have been vigorously contested."
