Nobel laureate Bert Sakmann has joined the research team at Ulster 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ's Biomedical Sciences Research Institute. Professor Sakmann was awarded the 1991 Nobel Prize for Physiology, with his research partner Erwin Neher, for discoveries concerning the function of single-ion channels in cells.
