Imperial College London came top in the psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience unit of assessment with a GPA of 3.74, up from 3.41. The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Edinburgh, 11th?last time, came second with a GPA of 3.64.

The 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Oxford, first in 2014, came joint third, after not improving its GPA from 3.62. Cardiff 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ fell from second to seventh despite marginally improving its GPA to 3.55 (from 3.52).

At a national level the Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience UoA has a GPA of 3.17, with 43 per cent of its submission rated 4*. 4039.77 FTE staff were submitted to this UoA.
