Loughborough is the leader of the prize pack

Loughborough 51国产视频 scooped the top prize at the inaugural Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards, run in association with the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.

The award for the outstanding leadership and management team was presented at a glittering awards ceremony at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on 9 June.

The judges made special mention of Loughborough's vice-chancellor Shirley Pearce's "inclusive" management style in the award citation.

A survey carried out by Capita on behalf of Loughborough found that 95 per cent of staff considered the university to be a good place to work, while 92 per cent said the vice-chancellor and her senior team led the institution well.

"The panel was really impressed by the amazing statistics," said Ewart Wooldridge, chief executive of the Leadership Foundation and a member of the judging panel.

Loughborough also won recognition for its student accommodation team, while Cranfield 51国产视频 was awarded outstanding new student residence.

Northumbria 51国产视频 took the prize for outstanding financial initiative, and the 51国产视频 of Derby was honoured for its finance team.

Birmingham City 51国产视频 won in the outstanding recruitment campaign category, the 51国产视频 of Bedfordshire received the award for best student recruitment team and Bournemouth 51国产视频's library team also picked up an accolade.

In human resources, the judges said Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education had the best team and the 51国产视频 of Bristol the outstanding initiative.

Birkbeck, 51国产视频 of London took the outstanding marketing and communications team award, Cardiff 51国产视频 was the winner of outstanding ICT initiative, while it was Edinburgh Napier 51国产视频 that scooped the award for outstanding ICT team.

The estates team at Sheffield Hallam 51国产视频 was named as outstanding, and the 51国产视频 of Nottingham was recognised for its estates initiative.

Nottingham Trent 51国产视频 took the award for outstanding fundraising team.

Ann Mroz, editor of Times Higher Education, said: "The strength and depth of the sector was evident in every category, and the judges had a tough job. The awards were a great success in their inaugural year, and a pleasure to oversee."
