IN THE Association of 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Teachers' league table on the number of women in senior posts in higher education (THES, May 15), the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Glamorgan was cited as having no female professors. Unfortunately, these figures are based on data collected from the 1995-96 Higher Education Statistics Agency returns.

I am delighted to report that we now have four female professors as well as three female heads of departments and one female dean.
