Jim Skea, director of the Policy Studies Institute, has been awarded an OBE in the new year honours list in recognition of his work in sustainable development research, particularly in transport. He joined the institute, a Westminster 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ subsidiary, in 1998, having previously been director of the Economic and Social Research Council's Global Environmental Change programme.
