Nobel prize-winner Carlo Rubbia's latest invention is a fission fragment-powered space engine designed to transport astronauts to Mars in 45 days, rather than the three years, and allow voyages to more distant planets. He has been teaching physics at the 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ of Pavia since January.
