Cambridge 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ's governing council has agreed to a mediator's recommendation to form an independent body to review procedures for promoting academic staff. The council, which met this week, was lobbied by 80 academics who invoked a statutory procedure to force the legislation onto the agenda.
