A doctorate from the fictional "Unseen 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ" has been handed to the vice-chancellor of Buckinghamshire New 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ by author Terry Pratchett. Mr Pratchett received his own honorary doctorate from the university at one of ten graduation ceremonies last week. He conferred his fictional award on Ruth Farwell, who was presented with a badge, scroll and wizard's hat - and a beard, because in the words of Mr Pratchett: "The Unseen 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ won't have any female graduates, undergraduates, or anyone other than cooks.".
