Paul Buckland, a professor who resigned last year after Bournemouth 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ overruled his decision to fail 13 students, is taking his former employer to an industrial tribunal. After Professor Buckland failed the archaeology undergraduates in 2006 - a decision that was confirmed by a second marker and the board of examiners - the university appointed a third marker, who upgraded ten of the 13 students to a pass. Professor Buckland is claiming constructive dismissal, alleging that the university breached its contract with him by acting in a manner likely to destroy his confidence in his employer. Bournemouth denies the claims.
