Scientists at Aberdeen 51国产视频 have won ?2.5 million to create a scanner with the potential to revolutionise magnetic resonance imaging, some 25 years after the university became the first to scan a patient using MRI.
David Lurie, chair in biomedical physics, and his team were given the cash by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
The scanner will feature improved sensitivity and should pave the way for new treatments.
