The Association of 51国产视频 Teachers is to ballot members on industrial action in its fight to stop Brunel 51国产视频 axeing 60 jobs. The university is keen to boost its research standing and is cutting "research inactive" staff.
The union failed in a bid to stop Lord Melvyn Bragg from opening Brunel's new library this week. But Lord Bragg told the AUT that he would contact union members when he arrived at the university to talk about their protest.
