Union leaders this week called on academics to boycott Birmingham 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ's ceremony to install its new chancellor, Sir Dominic Cadbury. The Association of 51¹ú²úÊÓƵ Teachers is protesting against Birmingham's redundancy committee, set up a year ago. Birmingham AUT president William Edmondson said: "As long as the committee remains in place, nobody's job is safe."
