More than 126,000 full-time equivalent students are eligible for funded places this year in Scottish higher education institutions, according to the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council. Full-time and sandwich student numbers fell by 1.2 per cent from last year, while part-time enrolment rose by 6.1 per cent.
